Every year in June for 9 amazing days; music takes over the downtown core and waterfront in Burlington and this crowd pleasing spectacle is known as the Sound of Music Festival.
With food trucks, various vendors and of course let’s not forget about the phenomenal musicians and bands that come to headline the event itself it is sure to have a little something for everyone.
Spanning the length of the waterfront in Burlington there are v.i.p tents and licensed areas for those adults that wish to have access to things like shorter bathroom lines and various other perks afforded to a v.i.p ticket holder, still accessible to the public is the children’s splash pad and park areas, and it is a pet friendly event should you choose to bring your four legged family member along; however this is an event that reaches very high numbers and space is tight so it may not be idea as it can be quite loud and disorienting for some dogs.
This year is projected to reach a record number of attendees in part due to some very big name headliners such as
Our Lady Peace, Collective Soul, Finger Eleven, Weezer, The Tea Party, Deric Ruttan, David Wilcox, Loverboy, Ill Scarlett and Chad Brownlee (just to name a few) who will be putting on what will no doubt be some spectacular performances.
So if you are looking for something to do between June 13th and 21st head on down to Burlington and create some truly unforgettable moments with family or friends
